About the Role
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering industry-leading mechanical engineering solutions across a range of exciting and challenging sectors, including Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. This role offers the opportunity to work on iconic engineering projects and make a tangible impact on the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Design: Lead a team to undertake high-quality technical design work in line with relevant standards and codes.
- Project Management: Prepare briefs, define scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals. Effectively manage time and budgets to meet project milestones.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams in the UK and internationally to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all design work adheres to quality assurance standards.
What we’re Looking For
- Chartered Mechanical Engineer
- Significant experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, blowers, screens, and chemical dosing plants) and a strong understanding of UK design standards and practices.
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation such as CDM and ATEX.
